Quince String Quartet was founded in 2018 by professional violinist & Virginia native Faith Hofma. QSQ is a network of classically-trained, professional musicians who perform for special events in a variety of musical genres. We are dedicated to creating the right environment for our clients’ events & fostering an atmosphere of engagement and warmth. We perform at events in Richmond, Virginia, and beyond.
Quince String Quartet may have just begun, but QSQ came about from musical partnerships nearly a decade old. Friends and colleagues, we have performed together in various ensembles and at numerous events over the years. We bring with us the professionalism of a seasoned ensemble.

Violinist
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Faith Hofma is a violinist, arts administrator, and teacher. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, Hofma has performed with the Richmond Symphony, the Williamsburg Symphony, the Roanoke Symphony, and Opera on the James. Hofma has participated in masterclasses with Rachel Barton Pine, Bonnie Hampton, the Brooklyn Rider String Quartet, Aviv Quartet, and Lawrence Dutton of the Emerson String Quartet.
